Western Union money transfer services are now available through Millennium Bank network Western Union, a global leader in payment services, and Millennium Bank, the Romanian subsidiary of the leading private financial group in Portugal, have signed an agreement to make Western Union services available through Millennium Bank’s network covering Bucharest and 16 Romanian counties. Using the Western Union® Money TransferSM service is easy and convenient and it does not require a bank account. Consumers will be able to perform fast and reliable money transfers within Western Union’s global network in Millennium Bank branches. “The agreement with Millennium Bank will further strengthen the Western Union network in Romania and expand consumers’ access to our global network of more than 470.000 Agent locations in 200 countries and territories", said Alexandru Badulescu, Country Director of Western Union Romania and Bulgaria. Both send and receive money transfer services will be available in lei or foreign currency (USD or EUR). Consumers can also send money inside Romania to one of the 4,600 Western Union locations in urban and rural areas. The Western Union Money Transfer service is available in Romania since 1996.
