Andrej Vizjak has joined PwC as Consulting leader for South Eastern Europe. He will be based in Bucharest and will contribute to PwC’s growing regional capacity in Strategy and Operations. Andrej was previously the CEO of another major professional services firm, for Central & Easter Europe, advising the management of some of the largest companies across the region. He formerly also served on the boards of companies in Slovenia and Germany. Andrej is the author of several highly successful management and strategy books translated in many European languages. He was also teaching at the Executive MBA of IEDC Bled and at the University Eichstätt in Germany.
“Andrej brings, amongst others, his remarkable strategy consulting experience and knowledge of local markets in the South Eastern Europe area”, stated Vasile Iuga, Country Managing Partener of PwC Romania.
“By joining PwC, the largest professional services firm in the CEE region and the world, I feel that I took an important step forward in my career and I look forward to the challenges and the exciting new opportunities ahead”, said Andrej Vizjak.
Bogdan Belciu has also become Partner in the Advisory Department of PwC Romania. Bogdan has more than 9 years of management consulting experience in the US, Europe and Romania. He worked on a variety of topics, from strategy and M&A to operations, supply chain and procurement, in a wide range of industries including telecom, utilities, financial services, FMCG and retail.
Bogdan has an MBA from Cornell University in the US and holds bachelor degrees in Electronics and Computer Systems from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, in Economics and Business Administration from the Academy of Economic Studies, as well as a diploma in Quantitative Finance from the Pierre Mendes France II University in Grenoble, France.
“The emergence from the economic crisis raises new challenges for all companies. On the one hand, reshaping their strategy to reposition the company for growth is key for surviving successfully in the (still) uncertain business environment. On the other hand, realigning the operations to ensure seamless execution and operational efficiency can differentiate the winners in each industry. I therefore look forward to the opportunities that lay ahead on the Romanian market, which requires very skilled managers and advisors in order to safely navigate the storms of the current economic environment”, stated Bogdan Belciu.
“Professional services firms are defined by the quality and expertise of their human capital. I am confident that the contribution of Andrej Vizjak and Bogdan Belciu to the Advisory team of PwC Romania will strengthen our consulting capacity, thus enabling us to offer a complete range of consulting services to our clients, creating long term value for them and successful partnerships”, concluded Vasile Iuga, Country Managing Partner, PwC Romania.
