O noua politica Europeana in domeniul turismului

Parlamentul European a aprobat la Bruxelles masurile propuse pentru o noua politica Europeana in domeniul turismului, care sa ia în calcul si armonizarea standardelor de calitate a serviciilor hoteliere, protectia consumatorilor, accesul persoanelor cu handicap la destinatiile turistice sau o atentie sporita programelor turistice speciale pentru pensionari.
Intr-un raport realizat de Paolo Costa (ALDE, IT) si adoptat cu 536 voturi pentru, 58 împotriva si 22 abtineri, deputatii se declara pentru norme minime în ce priveste siguranta si calitatea serviciilor hoteliere, cu posibilitatea introducerii unei "marci CE" în aceasta privinta, pentru toate destinatiile turistice din Uniunea Europeana.
Raportul mentioneaza o multitudine de norme de clasificare a standardelor de calitate în domeniul serviciilor hoteliere din Statele Membre. Deputatii invita autoritatile locale, regionale si nationale sa sprijine, în parteneriatele public/private, activitatea industriei hoteliere Europene, atât în ce priveste transparenta cât si armonizarea sistemelor de clasificare existente, prin stabilirea unor valori de referinta.
Avand în vedere ca tot mai multi turisti îsi pregatesc calatoriile facând rezervari (transport, cazare etc.) direct, prin mijloace electronice, Deputatii cer un cadru de protectie a consumatorului, care sa garanteze ca datele lor personale sunt protejate, iar informatiile pe care le primesc online sunt corecte, oneste, actualizate si lipsite de ambiguitate. Deputatii recomanda, ca atare, certificarea site-urilor de internet cu informatii electronice privind serviciile turistice (rezervare si plata). Parlamentul subliniaza rolul pozitiv pe care îl joaca în acest sector organizatiile active în domeniul turismului social, ale caror activitati ar trebui încurajate si sprijinite.
Totodata, deputatii invita Comisia sa desfasoare o campanie Europeana de promovare a sigurantei rutiere, atragând atentia asupra noilor masuri de control comune, pentru a informa turistii despre diversele norme ce se aplica în Statele Membre, altele decât tara lor de resedinta.
Deputatii, notând declinul turismului medical, considera necesara adoptarea unei directive comunitare care sa defineasca recunoasterea si utilizarea statiunilor balneo-climaterice si în general rolul turismului medical si al tratamentelor termale, în raport cu resursele turistice din diferite State Membre (exceptând aspectele medicale, cele privind securitatea sociala si asigurarile).
