Deloitte Timisoara office will be coordinated by a new Audit Director

In January the Deloitte management team added a new member - Alina Mirea, Audit & Assurance Director who will take over the helm of the regional office in Timisoara, to coordinate the consultancy firm’s activity in the region, while also working on projects at the headquarters.
“We have always aimed – even more intensly over the past years - at integrating our activities both at service level, and also when it comes to being close to clients,” said Ahmed Hassan, Audit Partner in Charge, Deloitte Balkans. “In view of this strategy, we have decided to focus on the management of the Timisoara office, in order to mix the competence of our team with the local knowledge of our clients and colleagues in Timisoara. With over 13 years of experience in this field, Alina Mirea has the right mix of expereince and abilities to develop our activity in Banat, while also contributing to strengthening the overall reputation of our firm.”
Before joining the Deloitte management team, Alina Mirea was a partner with another internationally reputed consulting firm. Over the years, Alina has been in charge with international audits and technical advisory mandates for variours Romanian firms or Romanian subsidiaries of foreign companies in varying industries. Also, Alina has substantial experience in International Financial Reporting Standards, Romanian Accounting Standards, as well as USGAAP. She is a member of professional associations in Romania, such as ACCA, CECAR and CAFR.
“The Banat region has a substantial economic potential and the local business environment has rapidly developed over the past years,” said Alina Mirea. “There are already confirmed leaders within the local entrepreneurship, some of them on their way to become important regional players in various fields. As these companies develop, their interest in professional services grows; selection criteria get tougher as well. My team’s focus will fall on medium-sized and locally owned firms, for audit, fiscal and business advisory. We count on the local experience we have accumulated in more than two years, the reputation of an international brand, which last year became the number one professional services firm in the world, as well as on the support of an integrated professional team coordinating the Deloitte Romania activity at the headquarters.”
The Deloitte office in Timisoara was opened in October 2008. It currently employs 10 professionals that deliver audit services to private and public institutions in the region. The team is actively suported by the Deloitte experts from the Bucharest office. Most Banat-based clients are active in the Manufacturing, Automotive, Electronics and Consumer Business industries.
