Reff & Associates was legal counsel for the largest real estate acquisition in Romania worth over EUR 100 million, namely the acquisition of the office complex Floreasca Business Park by the investment fund New Europe Property Investments plc.
This is the second achievement of this kind, after the law firm assisted in 2009 the EUR 63 million acquisition of European Retail Park Brăila by New Europe Property Investments plc.
According to the newly released rankings in the magazine Top Tranzactii, Ziarul Financiar positions the transaction as the top real estate deal and the third largest M&A deal overall concluded on the market in 2010. At the same time, New Europe Property Investments plc is considered the most active investment fund whose confidence in Romanian assets has generated value for their shareholders, while bringing many tens of millions of Euros into the country, through multiple landmark deals.
