King Sturge wins two awards at the SEE Property Awards

King Sturge has won two awards at the 6th annual South Eastern European Real Estate Awards 2010. The event, held on 19th May 2011 was hosted by Europaproperty in Bucharest and is one of the most prestigious property events in the region.
The jury, consisting of 30 professionals from the property industry, voted King Sturge as “SEE Residential Agency of the Year 2010”, an award demonstrating the combined achievements of Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria and Croatia in challenging market conditions over the past year.
Radu Boitan, director of King Sturge in Bucharest and Chairman of RICS in Romania also collected ‘Professional of the Year 2010’ accolade, out of 11 candidates, including experts and leaders of consultancy, investment and development companies.
James Kinnell and Jens Moller Madsen, SEE Managing Directors, commented: “These awards continue to demonstrate the dynamism and progressive nature the teams are making in the markets and are testimony to the hard work and commitment they have given to King Sturge. We have become a strong and influential force in the region and with a more co-ordinated and cohesive approach, we can expect more success. In 2010, King Sturge celebrated 250 years of experience and is now one of the largest international property consultancies in Europe with 43 owned offices in 13 European countries, forming part of a network of over 210 wholly owned, associated and affiliated offices in 45 countries worldwide. Over 4,200 staff throughout these offices cover all property sectors and specialisms.
King Sturge began its activities in Romania in 2000 and opened a wholly owned office in Bucharest in 2006. The company offers a wide range of real estate consultancy services, including Property & Asset Management, Investment, Agency, Valuation, Project Management & Building Consultancy.
In Europe, King Sturge operates in the major UK commercial centres and principal mainland European cities. In Asia Pacific, the firm has associations in Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia and New Zealand. In the Americas, King Sturge has business partners in North, Central and South America through King Sturge CORFAC International and ChainLinks Retail Advisors.
Through a joint venture with a wealth manager, King Sturge now has a presence in the Middle East. The office will initially be based in Dubai, concentrating on states in the Gulf Corporation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
